Introduction....diving into the nitty gritty, purpose & more!

Hi! I'm so glad you're here! I'm Daisy- wife to Aaron and Mama to River (2.5 y.o.) & Norah (4 m.o.). Ever since I was a little girl, I can remember opening the blinds in the morning as soon as I was up for the day, putting myself together and then drinking a hot cup of black coffee you guys! Seriously! This started when I was around 8 years old. I've always had a special love for the home environment and the control I had over setting the tone of my own space. I've also always enjoyed and embraced the quiet and slower pace of life. I've been called an old soul since I can remember and still get that comment to this day and it's no wonder why.

Growing up, there were a lot of things I didn't have control over but my space was always what I was in control of and I clung onto that very early in life. That's where I believe my deep rooted passion for home decor stems from. I think it makes it all the more meaningful and goes much deeper than just a pretty home or space. Home is a safe place for not just me but everyone. I also want to mention that I had an incredibly happy childhood but I did have a lot of inconsistencies and ever changing dynamics that do still bring me pain in ways I'm learning to navigate through in my adult life.

I guess my point in bringing all this up and digging deep is because in a way it defines my life from my relationships with others, fashion & home style, parenting and so much more. It's easy to get lost in beautiful images, curated homes, perfectly portrayed motherhood and I don't want to be that. I don't have it all together. I'm not perfect by any means. At the end of the day, I am human and have my own set of issues as well as trials and tribulations that I face every single day. My main goal here is to be genuine and relatable and not only a source for home design and inspiration but also someone you can relate to and feel connected with. Since being a mother, my priorities have shifted and evolved and that's ultimately what led me here. Setting my purpose and intentions deeper than the everyday hustle and bustle of life.

On a more light hearted note, I'm definitely a decor enthusiast and homebody at heart! I'm navigating life, motherhood and so much more. I'm beyond excited to bring you along in the journey! I would say my perfect day consists of early morning coffee, breakfast and snuggles with my Husband and babies, cozy loungewear, a little online shopping & Pinterest browsing, some baking & a craft, cleaning & organization with some rearranging and home decor in the mix. There's honestly not much more I could want out of a day. I know that might be boring for some but I know there's others like me out there somewhere (lol!). I've always been like this and as the years have gone on I have learned to embrace a quiet, simple life. That is the life for me. I'm an old soul at heart, always have been and always will be.
