I've been totally MIA and I'm back and feeling inspired and ready to share with you guys again! I honestly just needed that last couple months to recharge and reset. We have lots of exciting stuff coming up.
River turns 3 in three days and I have no idea how that's even real!?! I'm honestly having a hard time with it. This feels like such a big transition from 2 to 3. Does anyone else feel that? He's like total big boy now. We decided to keep his birthday super low key this year with just our close family. We're doing Paw Patrol theme and pizza (with ranch of course!) by River's request. We got him a big boy bike with training wheels and it even has the cutest little wicker basket and of course we had to get a little helmet to match. It's going to be the perfect addition to our camping road trip coming up! I'm so in love with watching our sweet boy grow up but also it hits me daily that he's never going to be this little ever again and here soon he'll be zooming off on his own big boy bike. I just don't get where the time even goes.....like how!?!
In addition to Riv's birthday shenanigans, we've been in Spring Cleaning mode. I wanted to share a few random areas to deep clean if you're like us and trying to tackle some of those bigger cleaning tasks.
1) Donations- cleaning out the kids closets, clutter in the garage, linen/storage closet check in and get rid of what hasn't been touched, clothes/shoes that haven't been worn in the last 3-6 months.
2) Dust/Wipe those fans, baseboards & walls! Also, kictchen cabinets and those pesky grease stains.
3) Clean the inside of washing machine. I use white vinegar & baking soda. We have a front loader so clean the rubber ring out really good and then do a sanitary cycle with vinegar & baking soda and that seems to do the trick!
4) Upholstery Cleaning-We recently had our sectional and dining chairs professionally cleaned. So worth the money and keeps your furniture fresh.
5) Lastly, yard & garage clean up. This is mostly on my husband but this is definitely still a work in progress right now for us. My dream is to get our garage floors epoxied. I feel like our garage is a catch all with our minimal storage so this is constantly a work in progress for us but we're working on it!
Cleaning is never ending but it feels good to get in there and make progress on those bigger, deeper cleaning projects & tasks. It's always around this time when the weather starts to get nice that I just have that urge to get things done & here we are doing the damn thing!
Aside from party & cleaning, we're getting ready to head out on a roadtrip with our new camper! We're super excited and looking forward to a much needed break from everyday life to go adventure. I'll share pictures & highlights from our trip soon. Hope everyone is having the best start to Spring! Let me know if you tackle any of your spring cleaning list! Nothing like keeping each other accountable and motivated!
